At Helping Hands, we believe everyone deserves the opportunity to experience the joy of volunteering—the friendships, the sense of belonging, and the chance to contribute to something meaningful. For the past eight years, our Assisted Volunteers Program has been dedicated to making this a reality.
The Role of our Assisted Volunteers
Our amazing Assisted Volunteers help label and prepare our delicious Helping Hands Biscuits, which are sold to support our community initiatives.
This program provides a welcoming, inclusive environment where volunteers can learn new skills, build confidence, and be part of a team that makes a real difference.
How Biscuit Sales Support our Community
Every purchase of our biscuits goes towards stocking and running our Community Pantries, located in Airport West and Sunshine. These pantries provide emergency food relief to families in need, ensuring that no one in our community has to go hungry.
Sales from our biscuits—along with proceeds from our Helping Hands Op Shops—help keep our pantries filled with essential food and groceries for those doing it tough.
