Our Rummage Room - a space where everything is just $2 per kilo
Our Rummage Room is something new we’ve launched at McIntosh Street!
Some of the donations we receive just aren’t the right fit for our Op Shop, but that doesn’t mean they don’t deserve to have a second life! This is why we’ve opened our Rummage Room.
Located in the new portable at our Airport West site, our Rummage Room is a space filled with clothes, shoes, handbags, and linen that are all past their prime. Rather than $2 per item, everything the room is available for $2 per kilo!
It’s great place to look if you love hunting for a bargain, are wanting some new super affordable items to add to you wardrobe, or looking for something for your next craft challenge. Most pieces in our Rummage Room just need a little repair or a wash, and there are others that might not be as quick of a fix, but they would still be amazing for your next up-cycling project!
HOW IT WORKS:
1. Visit the new portable at our Airport West site (next to our Community Pantry) and be ready to rummage! Everything is mixed together on the tables in sections, so be prepared to spend some time finding the items that are perfect for you.
2. Any gems you find can go straight into bags, or we have baskets if you don’t have a suitable bag with you.
3. Once you’ve finished looking, check in with the scales to find out your total - how many items you’re taking home with you doesn’t matter, only how much they weigh!
4. Pay $2 per kilo!
5. Please pop your bags full of goodies into you car before heading into our main op shop to avoid any mix-ups
6. The room is restocked everyday, so come back again soon!
The Rummage Room is now open from 9:30am - 3pm, Monday to Saturday at 14 McIntosh Street, Airport West.
